Painting for me is a tool that enables me to express different parts of life. It is a search, an observation, the learning of a language that passes through the eyes.

I strive for my sight, not my knowledge, to be the connecting thread between the object and its presentation. I know that the white wall of my studio is white, but if I take the time to observe, I notice that it is sometimes yellowstained or bluish or another color. Later, what I observe may become a source of inspiration for my painting.

I want to develop my ability to see to the point where I discover the vibrations in what appears to be permanent. I strive to profoundly understand what I see so that I may create a new harmony on my canvas, with colors, lines, forms and light.

I like to see the trace of a brush, the mark of fingers, or the evidence of a palette knife on the canvas. As in life these reflect direct and daring decisions, as well as the tracks of conflict, letting go, and pleasure.

I stand in admiration facing the complexity of all that surrounds me and recognize that only the supreme wisdom of a Creator could make it all exist in coherence.
